AI
AI adds an automated chat participant to your Twitch stream. Configure its personality, when it responds, and how often, using the Chat Bot tools inside Stream Studio.

AI Features
Custom Personality
Pick a tone (Friendly, Professional, Sarcastic, Argumentative, Helpful, Chaotic, or Wholesome) and a verbosity level (One Word, Concise, or Chatty) to match your stream's vibe.
Flexible Trigger Modes
Decide when AI responds: only when mentioned, on flow keywords, via AI Flows only, or on every message in chat.
Cooldowns and Rate Limits
Set a per-user cooldown (0 to 300 seconds) and a global response rate limit (0 to 100 per minute) to keep chat moving at the right pace.
Conversation Memory
AI can remember 1 to 50 previous messages for context so replies stay relevant and in thread instead of feeling isolated.
Emotes and Interests
Enable channel emotes and emojis so AI uses your Twitch emotes naturally. Set topics of interest and topics to avoid for more accurate responses.
Custom Instructions
Write free form instructions to shape AI behaviour beyond the standard settings. Use this for stream lore, personas, or specific response rules.
Configuration
AI Status
Toggle AI on or off independently of your other Chat Bot settings. The status saves automatically.
Tone and Verbosity
Pick one of seven tones and one of three verbosity levels. Defaults are Friendly and Concise.
Trigger Mode
Choose Mention only, Flow keywords (keywords defined in AI Flows), Flows only (no automatic replies), or All messages. Use a global rate limit if you pick All messages.
Response Delay
Add a 0 to 5,000 millisecond delay before AI replies to make interactions feel more natural. Default is 500 ms.
Topics and Emotes
Provide comma separated interests and topics to avoid. Add custom channel emote names so AI uses them in context.
Custom Instructions
A free form text field for any extra guidance. Use this for personas, lore, banned phrases, or response styles not covered by the standard settings.
