Commands

Build custom chat commands for your Twitch channel using the Chat Bot tools inside Stream Studio. Set a trigger, a response, who can use it, and how often it can fire.

Stream Studio Live Chat workspace
Commands sit alongside Live Chat in Stream Studio.

Command Settings

Configure each command with a trigger, response, permission level, and cooldown settings.

Command Name

The trigger word for the command. Viewers type your channel prefix followed by this name to fire it.

Response

The message sent when the command runs. Use {user} to mention the viewer who triggered it.

Permission Level

Control who can run the command: Everyone, Subscriber, VIP, Moderator, or Broadcaster.

Cooldown

Seconds before the command can fire again. Set to zero to remove the cooldown.

Response Variants

Add up to three responses per command. The bot picks one at random so replies stay fresh.

Status

Enable or disable a command without deleting it. Useful for seasonal or event-only commands.
