Essentials

Essentials are pre-built commands and event responses for the most common stream interactions. They live in the Chat Bot tools inside Stream Studio so you can switch them on without building flows from scratch.

Event Responses

Automatic messages for channel events, each with customisable text and a status toggle.

Raid Response

Welcome incoming raiders with a custom message when another channel raids yours.

Subscription Response

Thank new and returning subscribers automatically the moment they subscribe.

Bits Response

Acknowledge viewers who cheer with bits using a customisable thank you message.

Response Variants

Add up to three response variants per essential. The bot picks one at random so replies don't feel repetitive.

Cooldown

Set a per-essential cooldown in seconds to throttle how often each response fires.

Enable or Disable

Toggle each event response on or off without losing the configured message.

Command Responses

Built-in commands for common viewer requests such as shoutouts, stream uptime, and follow age.

Shoutout

Respond with a shoutout for another channel when a viewer or moderator uses the shoutout command.

Uptime

Reply with how long the stream has been live.

Followage

Tell a viewer how long they have followed the channel.

Edit the Response

Update the message each command sends, add response variants, and tune the cooldown without touching the trigger.

Variables

Dynamic placeholders you can use inside response messages.

{user}

The username of the viewer who triggered the event or command.

{raider}

The channel name of the raider. Use this in raid responses to mention the raiding channel.

{viewers}

The number of viewers brought in by a raid. Use in raid responses to acknowledge party size.

{bits}

The number of bits cheered. Use in bits responses to show the amount.
